Rugs and Threads Home – Return, Exchange & Warranty Policy

1. Policy Overview

At Rugs and Threads Home, all sales are final. Returns or exchanges are only accepted in the unlikely event of a manufacturing defect that cannot be fixed.

2. Reporting Defects

If you receive a product with a manufacturing defect, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery by emailing rugsandthread@gmail.com with:

  • Order number
  • Clear photos/videos of the defect
  • A short description of the issue

Please ensure all original packaging and tags remain intact until your claim is processed.

3. Exclusions (Not Considered Defects)

  • Shedding: Handwoven/hand-tufted rugs may shed loose fibers initially. This is normal and reduces with regular low-power vacuuming.
  • Fiber Sprouting: Occasional tufts may rise above the surface. Clip neatly with scissors; do not pull.
  • Creasing/Rolling Marks: Rugs folded or rolled for shipping may show temporary lines that flatten within a few days. Rolling in the opposite direction can help.
  • Scent & Ventilation: A slight odor from packaging or materials may occur and usually fades within 24–48 hours in a ventilated space or sunlight.
  • Color Variance: Slight color differences may occur due to lighting or screen settings. We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee exact matches.

4. Rugs and Threads Home Warranty Policy

We proudly stand behind our craftsmanship. Each rug comes with a warranty against manufacturing defects:

  • Hand-Knotted Rugs – 6-month warranty
  • Hand-Tufted, Dhurries, Flat Weave & Hand-Woven Rugs – 3-month warranty

5. Resolution Process

If the issue qualifies under warranty:

  • Repair/Replacement: We will repair or replace the product with a new identical item (based on availability).
  • Shipping Cost Refund (Domestic Orders): If a defect is confirmed, we will arrange reverse pickup and cover return shipping. Refunds, if applicable, are processed within 10 days to your original payment method.
  • International Orders: Customers must coordinate return shipping unless otherwise agreed.

6. Important Notes

  • Keep tags and packaging intact for a smooth return process.
  • Report issues within the given timelines; delayed claims may be declined.
  • Rugs and Threads Home reserves the right to refuse returns/exchanges not meeting these conditions. Non-qualifying items will be sent back at the customer’s expense.
